So, the inscriptions written at the back of tro-tro vehicles has numerous reasons, some being religious, others for motivational reasons. I will focus on the comic aspect of it.
It will be observed that, some of the inscriptions are written just to relief those who read them.
A typical example is inscriptions like "where you see two ladies, gossip is there", another like "Onapa kooko bui adwenmu". Another funny inscription is "Koo Fante" this could be funny when you see it at the back of a vehicle. "Luck wife" are all examples of funny inscriptions. They all cause laughter on the face of viewers. This causes relief to the people.
Most often the language in which these inscriptions are written serve as the comic itself, "monkey in pikin ugly but he like am" is another example of this. Some inscriptions are in the Ga language. Such are, "3baa hi" and "Emashi". All these are funny inscriptions that serve as a comic relief written at the back of tro-tro vehicles. They help people find joy in their in their everyday busy life when they chance upon them.
